Program Description

Event Details

1925 is the year that highlighted the cultural divide in the United States. There was the Scopes Monkey Trial in Dayton, Tennessee where evolution was the focus. The KKK marched up Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, DC. The Great Gatsby was released and highlighted the other America, one of flappers, gangsters and booze during Prohibition. Mussolini made himself Italy’s dictator. Red Grange’s tour may have saved the National Football League, the Grand Ole Opry started and Sears opened up its first store and much much more.

Evan Weiner is a speaker, author, with a radio and TV background.

Registration is not required unless you are going to participate via Zoom or want a reminder of this program.
