Join local author, Kent Washington, as he discusses his memoir Kentomania: A Black Basketball Virtuoso in Communist Poland. Kent was the first American to play professional basketball behind the ‘Iron Curtain’ from 1979-1983. He recounts his journey from grade school, where he was known as ‘Peanut,’ to becoming the first Black American to play professionally in the Polish top league.
