Event Details

The Battle of Monmouth was fought in NJ on June 28, 1778. Pitting the Continental Army, led by General George Washington, against the British Army commanded by General Sir Henry Clinton, it was the last battle of the Philadelphia campaign, during which the British inflicted two major defeats on Washington and occupied Philadelphia. But Washington had spent the winter at Valley Forge, training and rebuilding his army. Will all the hardship and training pay off?
