Program Description

Event Details

The Outpost War (1952–1953) was the final, brutal phase of the Korean War, characterized by static trench warfare, intense artillery battles, and small-unit actions for control of strategic hills (Vegas, Reno, Carson, Hook, and Bunker Hill)
along the 38th parallel while peace negotiations continued.

Following mobile warfare in 1950-51, the war shifted to a defensive, "forgotten"; stalemate along the Jamestown Line, primarily featuring 1st Marine Division operations.

Troops fought from isolated, fortified positions, facing constant artillery fire, night raids, and vicious hand-to-hand combat. While the main battle line remained largely unchanged, the fighting was relentless, resulting in roughly 7,800 Marine casualties during this period.

The game features a huge trench and bunker system, hundreds of hand painted miniature soldiers and artillery, and is hosted by the Historical Miniatures Gaming Society, Next Gen Inc. who have great experience in running games that are fun and challenging for players. Lots of fun, and learn some history as well!

Games are facilitated by experts from HMGS Next Gen. Have fun and learn history at the same time!
