From 2017 to 2019 I took an estimated 1500 photos in Larchmont's Manor Park. This beautiful park, located on the Long Island Sound in Westchester County, is about a mile and a half from our home, where we have lived for almost 33 years.

During a trip to Rome to visit our daughter, I discovered that walking really helps my aching back! So, the three-mile round trip walk to the park became an almost daily occurrence for me. And what the walk did for my physical health, the park's splendor and serenity did for my soul! There is also the occasional run-in there with a friend or neighbor - Manor Park is not such a well-guarded secret!

I usually walk and photograph there in the mornings when it's especially peaceful. But the park changes with the Earth's rotation - see how the light and shadows create different, fun, interesting and dramatic new images!

I love to walk the park throughout the year. The change in seasons brings a change in the landscape; the park takes on a new covering just as you change your clothing.

What do you think is your favorite season, or time of day? If you get the chance to ponder these questions while sitting in one of the park's gazebos, go for it! In the meantime, I hope you enjoy my attempt to capture some of the year-round beauty of Larchmont's Manor Park!
