Program Description

Event Details

Be part of a live audio theater recreation of the 1953 Lux Radio Theater’s version of the Holiday Classic movie, “It’s a Wonderful Life.”

“It’s a Wonderful Life” is the story of George Bailey, a man who has given up his personal dreams in order to help others in his community. He encounters a crisis on Christmas Eve, leading George to believe he is a failure—worth more dead than alive. A guardian angel, sent from the heavens to protect him, gives George a glimpse of what the world would be like without him.

This free event will also feature an “It’s a Wonderful Life” video, talk & quiz with prizes… and a possible special appearance…no, it’s not Santa.

Led by Jason Summers & the Sandbox Theatre, our audience & performers will include our blind & visually impaired & handicapped community neighbors.

“It’s a Wonderful Life” is co-sponsored by the Larchmont Library, the Sandbox Theatre, SPERDVAC (The Society for the Preservation of Radio Drama, Variety and Comedy), The Westchester Council for the Blind, LMC Media & the Larchmont
Mamaroneck Lions Club (neighbors responding to the needs of neighbors & our community).
