Program Description

Event Details

This program goes over what you need to know about screening for cancer and cardiovascular disease.

We will review the recommended screening guidelines of the US Preventive Services Task Force with an emphasis on the ones with the most proven evidence for being recommended. This presentation will help raise awareness so when it's time to see a primary care doctor, you know what that doctor needs to check.

This program is presented by Amir Steinberg, a physician at Westchester Medical Center (and a resident of Larchmont). Amir Steinberg, M.D., is the director of the Hematology/Oncology Fellowship at the Westchester Medical Center (WMC). Dr. Steinberg has been involved in research focused on lymphoma, quality of care, and nonmalignant transplantation. His clinical focus is on hematologic malignancies and cellular therapy.  He joined WMC in 2021 as clinical director for adult cellular therapy.
