Please join us for a conversation with local author Greg Steinmetz. American Rascal is a rollicking biography of railroad magnate Jay Gould—the greatest of the 19th-century robber barons—whose brilliance, greed, and bare-knuckled tactics made him richer than Rockefeller and led Wall Street to institute its first financial reforms. Steinmetz is a money manager, former Wall St. Journal bureau chief, and author of The Richest Man Who Ever Lived: The Life and Times of Jacob Fugger. Wine and cheese reception at 3:30 on the library lawn, weather permitting.  Put it on Hold or Download the ebook.  Copies will be available 2 weeks before the meeting on the Book Group Shelf.  Free and open to the public. Sponsored by the Friends of the Larchmont Public Library.
