Program Description

Event Details

Come to the Larchmont Library to enjoy an unique Audio Theater event – watch a Live Recreation of a classic “Ozzie & Harriet” radio show… and hear a brand-new Audio Theater production, “Burning Gotham.”  Ozzie & Harriet was one of radio & TV’s most popular “sit-coms” (1944-1966) “Burning Gotham” is a new mystery tale of New York City in the early 1800’s. It will be presented & discussed by its creator, James Scully.

Audio Theater began as radio and has had a resurgence via audio books and podcasts. You will experience both programs and hear Audio Theater’s history - and how it is produced.  Since Audio Theater is the video of the mind, it is of particular importance to the blind & visually impaired - as entertainment and participation in productions. Special attention at this event will be given to both benefits.  This unique Audio Theater presentation is co-sponsored by the Larchmont Mamaroneck Lions, The Larchmont Library, the Sandbox Theater, VISIONS (organization for the blind) and SPERDVAC (The Society for the Preservation of Radio Drama, Variety and Comedy)  The event will be taped by LMC Media. So come be part of Audio Theater & TV.
