Event Details
The Larchmont Public Library has teamed up with the Westchester Chapter of the NYC Urban Sketchers Group to provide a fun and relaxing drawing event ‘en plain air’ or ‘in the open air’
Join the Sketchers at 10am on the front lawn of the Library for a quick meet and greet. From there, participants will choose a spot on the lawn (or anywhere around the building) and begin sketching/drawing their surrounding scenery. The group will break for lunch at 12:30pm and reconvene at 1pm for a show & tell to discuss what everyone has created thus far. After that, everyone is welcome to continue sketching at their leisure until 3pm.
**Please note: there is no registration necessary. There will be no formal instruction- this event is meant to be an opportunity for people to relax, create art and make new friends. Please arrive prepared with your own supplies such as paper and drawing tools such as graphite or colored pencils, pens and markers. If you’d like to bring a chair or picnic blanket to sit on, you are more than welcome to do so. All ages are welcome (including children accompanied by a parent or caregiver) regardless of ability or experience.**
The Westchester branch of the Urban Sketchers is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to sketching the world around us. For more information about this wonderful group, please visit their website at https://www.nycurbansketchers.org/
