This 6 session program will define US China relationship in the 21st century through the lens of history. It will explore the response among China policy experts in the free world to China’s aggressive behavior in the South China Seas and blatant disregard for human rights in Xinjiang, Tibet and Hong Kong. Her behavior has spurned two camps. One group favors preparation for an inevitable conflict, while the other advocates diplomacy and de-escalation. The argument is not convincing for either side, adding to the drama as US China relations continue to unfold. The topics of each session is below. James Levey is a former partner at American China Mercantile and a senior manager at IBM and Amdocs.
