Event Details

Voter suppression is a strategy used to influence the outcome of an election by discouraging or preventing specific groups of people from voting. It was a critical issue in the 2022 mid-term elections and will certainly be one in 2024.  Americans cherish the right to vote as a cornerstone of our democracy and constitutional republic. How did voter suppression come about? What can we as citizens do to diminish it?

Professor Stephen Rolandi is an adjunct professor of public administration at Pace University and the John Jay College of Criminal Justice, CUNY. An expert in government finance and public policy, he retired in 2015 after a distinguished career in with the Federal government and the State and City of New York. He is a frequent commentator on national, state and local issues.

Registration is not required unless you are going to participate via Zoom or want a reminder of this program.
