ART ON THE BEACH Workshop (Wednesday, October 16th at 2 pm)

Sun, sand, and surf! How do artists capture the beach in innovative paintings? Following a presentation of paintings by Pablo Picasso, Willem de Kooning, William Merritt Church and others, paint or draw your idea of summer at the seaside. Have
paint or drawing supplies on hand.

SAND INTO ART Workshop (Wednesday, October 23rd at 2 pm)

Dig into the sand and transform it into art. Discover the many ways artists such as Tim Bengal, Jackson Pollock and others incorporate sand into painting and sculpture. Then create a textured painting using sand and paint. Have sand and paint supplies on hand. Don’t have sand? Use sand paper instead.

BIRDS OF CREATIVITY Workshop (Wednesday, November 13th at 2 pm)

How do artists portray the imagery and symbolism of birds in creative ways? Following a presentation featuring Lee Krasner, Paul Klee, Hilma af Klimt and other modern artists, create a painting or drawing using bird imagery as a springboard for imagination. Have drawing or paint supplies on hand. Photograph of a bird is optional.

FALL INTO ART Workshop (Wednesday, November 20th at 2 pm)

Discover how artists have been inspired by the beauty of the outdoors. Live on Zoom, tour the studio and home of Jackson Pollock and Lee Krasner, and learn creative ways artists capture the sublime energy of nature in art. Following the tour, Joyce Raimondo will demonstrate how you can capture the beauty of Autumn with paint. Have paint supplies on hand.
