Wednesday's October 18th and November 8th at 10 am.  The three novels we will be discussing are unique and heartfelt.  The commonality is the New York setting.

Lillian Boxfish Takes a Walk by Kathleen Rooney (Wednesday, October 18th at 10 am)

Called "a love letter to city life," we will be introduced to the unique Lillian Boxfish on her ten-mile trek around New York City.  Inspired by Margaret Fishback, the poet of light verse and Macy's top advertising copy writer, you will agree that this main character is extraordinary and remarkable.

The Lost Girls of Willowbrook by Ellen Marie Wiseman (Wednesday, November 8th at 10 am)

Called a "bone chilling work of historical fiction by a master storyteller, " this novel is involved with Willowbrook State School, an institute for disabled children on Staten Island.  It follows a sixteen year old girl as she fights to survive in unimaginable surroundings.
