Joyce Raimondo, Education Coordinator, presents early drawings by Pollock and Krasner, followed by hands-on activities designed to improve skills of observation and show a range of drawing techniques. Artists of all levels welcomed. The library will not provide any supplies. You only need to sign up once and you will get the Zoom link the evening before for each session.
Friday, March 10th 2pm CHARCOAL DRAWING
How can you make an object look three dimensional with shadows and highlights? Learn shading and modeling techniques as you explore the wonders of charcoal drawing. This workshop will teach you basic charcoal drawing skills and give you an overview of charcoal supplies. Supplies; charcoal drawing supplies such as vine charcoal, compressed charcoal, white charcoal stick, shading stump, newsprint or charcoal paper. (Participants are not required to have all of these supplies, individuals can observe or attend with limited supplies.)
Friday, March 24th 2 pm PERSPECTIVE DRAWING
Architecture, buildings, streets, rooms, and more. How do you create the illusion of depth in a drawing? This workshop will teach you the basics of one and two point perspective drawing that will improve your drawing skills in one session. Supplies: pencil, two sheets of paper, ruler or straight edge, sharpener, eraser.
