Join local poet, Michael Collins, for a poetry writing and reading series this April to celebrate National Poetry Month. This writing 'group' is open to anyone who is interested in reading and writing poetry- whether you're just exploring and beginning your poetic journey or you're already an avid reader/writer. The sessions will follow a 'talk and try' format: open-ended discussions of model poems mixed with writing exercises. The conversation will be informal, accessible and friendly. There is no poetic experience required- just a willingness to make new friends and get your creative juices flowing!

Michael Collins’ poems and book reviews have appeared in many journals and magazines. He is also the author of several books and chapbooks, including Appearances, which was named one of the best indie poetry collections of 2017 by Kirkus Reviews. He teaches at New York University and various community outreach and children’s centers. Visit notthatmichaelcollins.com.
